Kubernetes Security: Secrets Management

Introduction

It is possible for things such as passwords, usernames, tokens, and keys, among other things, to fall under the category of secrets. Secrets are categories of sensitive information with which an organization’s employees interact and are therefore marked as confidential. These things are holding information that should not be accessible to the general public. If for some reason the information that is associated with these objects is made public, then the attacker will have access to a different level of information.

Each organization has its own unique system for gaining access to or storing these secrets; however, when dealing with these secrets, the organization must exercise increased caution because any disclosure of these secrets can get the organization into trouble or bring the organization’s reputation into disrepute. Let us discuss it in full.
