Introduction

Security is a major issue nowadays, and as most businesses use cloud infrastructure, those businesses need to know what their duties are when employing IaaS or public clouds. Some cloud service providers employ a consumption-based pricing model in which the end user can make use of their services and only pay for what they really utilize.

The shared responsibility model defines the division of responsibilities between cloud service providers and customers in order to establish proper security in place, so in short, the shared responsibility model is that which defines the division of responsibilities between organizations and cloud providers.
